Together, they create a shared platform for environmental awareness, collective insight, and long-term planetary stewardship.

The Climate Sphere Initiative is a global public-art platform, conceived as a living system and realized as a continuously adaptive network of interconnected artworks, operating at the intersection of art, science, and artificial intelligence—transforming real-time climate and biodiversity data into shared public experience.

The Climate Sphere is not a single installation, but a distributed planetary system—composed of interconnected public artworks operating as synchronized nodes within a shared environmental intelligence. Together, they constitute a new form of civic infrastructure: a globally coordinated yet locally grounded system that translates planetary processes into collective human awareness.

Art, Science, and a Planetary Language

At its core, the Climate Sphere revisits the Da Vinci ideal of art and science in harmony, reinterpreting this historic synthesis through contemporary tools and planetary questions. Where scientific data often remains abstract or inaccessible, the Sphere functions as a translator—converting complex environmental information into perceptible, evolving narratives experienced through light, motion, and form.

Experiencing the Climate Sphere

The short films below present site-specific visualizations from the Climate Sphere Initiative. They illustrate the Sphere’s storytelling framework through two complementary ecological narratives: the adaptive, real-time biodiversity story of the Pharaoh cuttlefish, and the long-horizon species-recovery narrative of the critically endangered Arabian leopard.

Together, these examples demonstrate how the Sphere translates both immediate ecological dynamics and long-term conservation science into shared public experience—rooted in local ecosystems while contributing to a globally connected planetary narrative.
