My ambition is not simply to create public artworks, but to help establish a new form of civic infrastructure through which communities reveal, discover, exchange, and collectively understand their Environmental Identities. As the network grows, these locally rooted identities contribute to Global Collective Meaning, build a living civic memory across cultures and generations, strengthen Planetary Awareness, and inspire Long-term Stewardship. Over time, the Initiative has the potential to evolve into a new kind of global civic institution—a living global archive of Environmental Intelligence, Environmental Identities, and shared civic memory that continues to grow with each participating community.
Ultimately, my hope is to bring the rhythms of the living Earth into the rhythms of everyday civic life. If the Climate Sphere Initiative succeeds, it will help create a future in which communities around the world share not only Environmental Intelligence, but also a deeper understanding of their collective relationship with the living Earth—strengthening our shared responsibility for the planet, inspiring Long-term Stewardship, and creating the collective momentum needed to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and the interconnected environmental challenges of our time.
